FAQ & Policies

Frequently Asked Questions

These answers apply to both properties unless one is named.

How do I collect the keys?
Both properties have a key lockbox. We send your access code on the day you arrive, before check-in, so you can let yourself in whenever you get here without waiting for us.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out is by 11 am, at both properties. You can arrive at any time after 3 pm, though it helps to know if you will be very late.
Can I check in early or check out late?
Sometimes. It depends on whether anyone is in before or after you, so it is at our discretion and cannot be promised in advance. Ask us before your stay and we will do our best.
Is there a minimum stay?
It varies by date and by property. The Barn asks for between 1 and 3 nights depending on the date, and the Cottage between 2 and 4, with the longer minimums on the busiest dates. The booking calendar shows the minimum for the dates you pick.
How are the properties heated?
Both have central heating, included in the price, and you can adjust the temperature to suit yourself.
Is parking available?
Yes, private off-road parking is included at both properties, right on site.
What is the mobile signal like?
Good. You should have reliable 4G coverage at both properties and in the surrounding area.
Is WiFi included?
Yes, fast WiFi is included at both properties at no extra charge.
Is the Barn accessible for guests with limited mobility?
The Barn is on the first floor and is reached by an external stone stairway. There is no lift and no step-free access, so it is not suitable for guests who cannot manage stairs. Accessibility is worth asking about rather than guessing at, so if it matters to your stay please get in touch before booking and we will tell you exactly what to expect at either property.
Which property suits a family?
The Cottage. It sleeps six across three double bedrooms, has a garden and sun terrace of its own, and welcomes children of any age, with a cot available free on request for under-threes. The Barn takes two guests and is reached by an external stone stairway, which makes it better for couples than for families with young children.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately not, at either property.
Is smoking permitted?
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on either property, indoors or outdoors.
Can I book for a party or an event?
No, at either property. We also ask guests to keep the noise down between 11 pm and 6 am. It is a quiet spot and that is most of why people come.
Is there a damage deposit?
Yes, a refundable damage deposit is required. Details are provided at the time of booking.
What is provided?
All bed linen, towels and complimentary toiletries are included at both properties, and the kitchen is stocked with tea, coffee and the essentials to get you started.
Is there a washing machine?
There is no washing machine at either property. For longer stays a launderette is available in nearby Greysteel.
Where is the nearest shop?
Greysteel village is just a short drive away and has a local shop and takeaways. Limavady town, about 10 minutes away, has supermarkets and a wider range of shops.
What if I need help during my stay?
We live on site, so we're always close by. You can knock on the door or give us a call and we'll be there to help.
